PRODUCT AND INSTALLATION WARRANTIES,
50 – YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Cultured Stone products are covered for a period of 50 years from date of purchase when used on a structured which conforms to local building codes and when installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Cultured Stone – A Division of Owens Corning will repair or provide, free-of-charge, new materials to replace those which are determined to be defective. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and may not be transferred to any subsequent owner.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Settlement of the building or other wall movement.
- Contact with chemicals or paint.
- Discoloration due to airborne contaminants.
- Staining or oxidation.
This warranty covers only manufacturing defects in Cultured Stone manufactured stone products. Cultured Stone – A Division of Owens Corning is not responsible for labor costs incurred in removal and replacement of defective products. Hearthstones are not warranted for use on the ground or as a surface area subject to foot traffic.
One (1) Year Limited Warranty – Installation
Elite Stone warrants that its installation of materials will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. There are no warranties which extend beyond the Warranty described on this page. The exhibition of any Cultured Stone sample or profile by Elite Stone was intended as an approximation only and shall not be regarded as part of the basis of the bargain and shall not create an express or implied warranty that workmanship shall conform to the sample or model.
All claims for defective workmanship must be presented to Elite Stone in writing at the address set forth below within thirty (30) days of discovery of the defective workmanship. Failure to timely provide such written notice constitutes a waiver of the claim. Elite Stone shall be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the claimed defective workmanship. Elite Stone will, at its option, repair or replace any workmanship determined to be defective. This is the sole exclusive remedy under this Warranty.
This Warranty covers only defects in workmanship performed by Elite Stone. This Warranty does not over damage resulting from building settlement, wall movement, contact with chemicals, stain or paint, discoloration due to airborne contaminants, and oxidation.
This Warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable or assignable. Any action for breach of this Warranty must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action has accrued.
